Turiquintas Apartments

Getting here from Faro airport was a reasonable transfer. The resort is quiet, the facilities are good, and there’s a restaurant on site. The apartments are lovely, and beaches and restaurants are just a short walk away.

There’s plenty of space in the flat, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The pool was much bigger than it looked in the photo and was well maintained, with enough loungers for sun or shade. It’s very peaceful, with no loud crowds. There’s also a pool table and ping pong near the pool, and an on-site restaurant with good prices. The beach and shops are easy to reach on foot, or a taxi costs 4.5 euros. We had a brilliant, relaxing stay. Wi-Fi and TV could be improved, but we weren’t there for those.

May 2023. We wanted a quiet, restful break with coastal walking routes, and this was an ideal location. The little town is about a 35-minute walk in either direction, with places to eat along the road by the supermarket. That large supermarket is only five minutes away, while a pretty beach in a small cove takes about 20 minutes on foot. We stayed in a self-catering two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment overlooking the green area of the five-star hotel. The rooms were a good size, with a large balcony and roof terrace, and each apartment has a parking space built into its design. The pool areas have been recently renovated, and the apartment had also been refreshed. There’s a lot of brown flooring, tiles, and woodwork, but that’s Portugal. Out of season, it’s a lovely place for a break and very good value for money.

My parents have been coming here for years, and we’ve stayed several times ourselves. The owner is lovely and very helpful. It’s a nice place, away from the busy cities and not too far from the beach.
