Aldeamento Turistico Da Prainha/prainha Village

We wanted to hold our 2026 wedding at Restaurante Caniço, and the setting at Prainha Village is beautiful. But the way management handled our plans was disappointing. Our 50 guests would have filled the restaurant, and we were prepared to pay wedding rates of €100 per person plus drinks. Even so, they required another €3,000 for “exclusivity.” Otherwise, dinner would have to be at the pool shack, while hotel diners shared the restaurant, and we would still pay premium prices and cover a DJ that other guests could enjoy too. They could have simply charged a clear, higher per-person rate. When we politely raised the issue and asked to speak with management, Prainha stopped replying. Rigid and dismissive service, with little transparency. I wouldn't recommend it for weddings or private events.

Monica and Jessica at the restaurant were fantastic. Monica worked tirelessly to make sure our group of more than 300 had everything we needed. Everyone we met was helpful and respectful, and both the cocktails and breakfast were great. The location and amenities were lovely as well. I can't wait to see you again, Monica and Jessica! We found the beach just behind the villa one of the best we've seen in Europe, and getting to it was so easy. The place worked well for two people. There's a supermarket right on the premises, and the Italian restaurant next to our room was a lifesaver when we were tired. Highly recommend.
