We had some nice evening entertainment, especially the live musician in the upstairs bar over the weekend. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent too, with a selection and quality we were very happy with. Hotel cleanliness was excellent throughout, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. No complaints about the service. The location worked well for getting around: turn right for a 10-15 minute walk to the beach shops and waterfront, or left for the pretty marina with boats and restaurants. We also found out there’s another Jupiter hotel about 10-15 minutes away on foot, much closer to the beach, which may suit better if you want to be right by the shore or take evening walks after dinner. Our main disappointment was the room. We paid extra for a Deluxe Double with River View and Balcony, but the river-facing side overlooks a very noisy road, with loud motorbikes late at night. We’d asked for a quiet room, but nobody mentioned the road when we booked. We were also below the upstairs bar, which added to the noise. In hindsight, the other side of the hotel may be quieter, farther from the main road. The pillows weren’t comfortable, and there wasn’t much choice of pillow types. The spa was lovely, and we used the pool and sauna. We didn’t expect hotel guests to pay extra for spa access. The hourly charge was a little disappointing, though it does keep the facilities from feeling overcrowded. The rooftop infinity pool is beautiful, but it was too cold to use during our February visit.

We’re here for a nine-night birthday break, and the hotel has been amazing. The staff in the downstairs restaurant and at the rooftop pool bar are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. The downside is the distance to the beachfront and nearest restaurant strip, about 1.3 km. For somewhere much nicer, a taxi or Uber to Alvor is about €5.50 and takes around 10 minutes. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants there rated 4.5 and over, with a great atmosphere.

It’s a clean, modern, adults-only hotel, so we found it really relaxing. The staff were attentive, and we liked using the shuttle to the beach. It’s near the marina, where it’s easy to book a boat trip, and there are plenty of restaurants within a 20-minute walk. The busy road can be heard, but only when the balcony door is open. Breakfast was good quality, though after a week we felt it could use more variety. We especially liked the made-to-order omelettes, along with all the fruit and the orange juicing machine. We’ll return.

The location was okay, and there was free transport to Priah at certain times. From our balcony we had a great river and harbour view, but the road below was so noisy that it was hard to enjoy it. The cooked breakfast was only warm to cold, and the food and drink were laid out poorly. I’ve stayed in much better four-star hotels, so I wouldn’t recommend this one.

My now fiancée and I had a fantastic break at Jupiter Marina Hotel in September 2025, and it’s where we got engaged. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the rooftop view and infinity pool are amazing. There were always deck chairs available. We liked the food, and the rooftop bar was a relaxing place to spend the evening. The beach shuttle was a nice extra, though an Uber only cost a few euros anyway. We’re already planning our Portugal wedding for 2027 and would love to come back to Jupiter Marina Hotel afterwards.
