AlvorMar Apartamentos Turisticos

The pool was shallow, which worked well for kids, and there was free parking around the hotel, though it sometimes filled up and I had to drive around until a space opened. The beach is about a 15-20 minute walk away, while the city and a supermarket are much closer, about five minutes on foot. Our apartment was spacious, with a good kitchen stocked with what we needed, a nice bathroom, a bedroom, and a couch that converts into a bed. We had a great experience and nothing to complain about!☺️

The apartments felt luxurious, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. They’re cleaned daily, with towels changed 2-3 times a week or more if you ask. And the snack bar by the pool, wow. The woman running it is on her own, but everything she makes is delicious, beautifully presented, and absolutely amazing.

We spent 11 nights at Alvor Mar and had an excellent apartment. The housemaids cleaned brilliantly every day except Sunday, and all the staff were excellent. The reception team were very friendly, and one gentleman came to the rescue when I’d forgotten my walking stick by lending me one for our stay. The lady at the snack bar was especially lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. My only small suggestion is to add a grab bar in the shower. Thank you all for the great work, we’ll be back.

We’ve stayed twice and it remains our favourite hotel in Alvor. It’s very clean, in a great location, and the staff are lovely. We like coming in April because it’s quiet, but the hotel usually fills up, so it’s important to book ahead. We’ll keep coming back.
