We stayed at AP Oriental Beach Hotel in low season and found it calm and relaxing. The vintage feel and Moroccan-inspired décor were beautiful, the room was spacious, and breakfast was excellent. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. We were also pleasantly surprised by the live music in the restaurant, even during low season. A really enjoyable, peaceful visit.

The beach view and location were just what we wanted, and the food was so delicious. We were happy we chose this hotel, especially with daily room service included at no extra charge. Thanks to all the staff who worked hard to make our stay great. It’s been my best holiday so far in 2026. Dorat

We went in September 2025 for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. As a young couple who likes a quiet life, we found it peaceful and beautiful, while still being close to amenities for exploring. Having private access to the beach was a big plus. Our room faced the sea and felt serene, and we enjoyed wonderful massages and great food. One odd thing was that food from the dining hall couldn’t be taken up to the room. That was annoying on a few nights when I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to get out of bed. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly, and booking our airport transfers directly through the hotel was really helpful. We’ll come back the next time we’re in Portugal.

Those November mornings by the sea were a real treat. It was around 20°C, and the beachfront setting made our walks along Portimão's golden sand feel wonderfully peaceful. We came to AP Oriental for a week of relaxation, and the hotel gave us exactly the kind of escape we wanted, even exceeding what we expected. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with plenty of room to settle in. From arrival onward, the staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help with anything we asked. We'd happily return to AP Oriental for the calm ocean setting and thoughtful service.

The balcony had lovely views, but it was hard to enjoy them with the guests next door smoking all day, from 6am. Having non-smoking rooms would make a big difference. The location itself is ideal, with the beach easy to reach, and the staff were friendly and professional. Inside, parts of the floor were lifting, and the one wash product for hands, face, body, and hair made the room feel like a one-star hotel. There wasn't a coffee pot in the room either.
