Aparts & Suites summer cascade Alvor

The rooms were clean and nice, and we really enjoyed breakfast. The couple who run the place are friendly and always happy to help. A friend and I stayed for 10 days in August 2025, and the location was ideal, with the beach, restaurants, supermarket, and bars all within walking distance. We’ll most likely come back this year and see more of Algarve.

DO NOT STAY HERE. SCAMMERS!!!!! We cancelled our fully refundable trip in good time, three weeks before the final day, but they still took our money and refuse to return it. We had chosen to pay at the hotel, so we have no idea how they charged our card without our knowledge or consent. They made three successful charges totaling 1056 euro to my wife’s and my account, then tried many more times before our bank blocked them. I’ve found plenty of other reviews describing multiple unauthorized charges too. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. If you have a booking, block your debit or credit card ASAP.

I can’t comment on the hotel itself. I booked through Expedia, then had to postpone our vacation and canceled within the free cancellation period. The hotel said the booking couldn’t be canceled, though the booking details and Expedia both said otherwise. Despite several requests from me and Expedia to the hotel manager, they wouldn’t refund the amount already charged. It still hasn’t been returned, which is really unfortunate.

It’s handy having a kitchen and washing machine, and the location is great, near a supermarket and a good variety of restaurants. But the room was damp, including the sheets and pillows, and the smell of bleach or chlorine was strong throughout the room and hallway. Our contact didn’t respond to our concerns and canceled our Expedia booking the day before we left. That felt unprofessional, and we lost our cashback and the chance to leave a review through Expedia. We stayed two nights.
