The hills and mature gardens made it easy to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. Our room was clean and quiet, with a really comfortable bed and a beautiful en-suite. The hosts were so lovely, and the food was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We’ve been back three times, which says a lot. Didier and Annelies are close to perfect as hosts, and the breakfast is famous for good reason. The rooms are pretty and comfortable, and there’s a great pool and other facilities. It’s a fantastic area for road cycling and mountain biking, close to Foia (993 Hm) and still not far from the beautiful Algarve coast. Didier can point you to great restaurants around the Algarve. Just wow!

Annelies Yin Yoga and Casa do Palmeiral, thank you for such a great stay. My 12-year-old and I had a wonderful time exploring the area, walking the dogs, playing ping pong, doing Qigong, and swimming. We were lucky to meet Lido, the four-day-old baby donkey, who was so cute, sweet, and curious. The retreat in the mountains of Monchique feels just the right size for an intimate atmosphere with other cool guests. It’s 20 minutes from the beach and less than an hour from Faro airport. In summer it’s fully self-sustainable, with solar panels and its own well and water system.

You can hear the birds here, and head out for a walk or a bike ride. The guesthouse itself is lovely, with beautiful decor, and it’s surrounded by green vegetation wherever you look. It’s a peaceful place in nature, and the food is great too, natural and vegetarian if you like.
