We had a comfortable room and really enjoyed our holiday. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the drinks were good, especially the red wine.

The pools were a real hit with the family, and the activity team kept everyone busy with things like aqua fit, water polo, and an exotic animal show. The music acts were surprisingly good too, with some great talent. We’d been a little wary after reading mixed reviews, but our week at the Navigator Palm Oasis in Alvor turned into a fantastic family holiday. The all-inclusive deal was good value. The buffet had variety for different tastes and covered the basics, though it wasn’t luxurious. Going at the right time made meals enjoyable. Staff were consistently friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable, if a bit small for four. The shower was fantastic, and we liked the little balcony overlooking the pool. The pool areas were well cared for. The hotel is some way from Alvor centre, but the shuttle to town and the beach made it easy to get around. We were the only English-speaking family there, which made the stay feel a little different. Navigator Palm Oasis worked well as a base for seeing the Algarve, and I’d recommend it to families looking for an easy-going break.

There were plenty of sunbeds and shady spots around the pool, plus a great bar. The food was good too, with lots of choice, and the fruit and salads were fantastic. The courtesy bus to and from town and the beach ran a few times a day and was very popular. We had a lovely stay at this comfortable, friendly hotel. All the staff were helpful and very nice. We’ll definitely come back.

We stayed at the Palm Oasis for five days and would happily return for another family holiday. Sara gave us a really warm welcome at check-in, and the entertainers and the rest of the team impressed us throughout. The kids loved the kids’ club and movie nights. The food was what you’d expect from an all-inclusive, well cooked and with some variety.
