We found cockroaches in the bedroom and in the hallway leading to it on our last day. The receptionist was understanding and moved us to another room. Still, it seems there had been a cockroach problem only 2 months before our stay, so it may be a recurring issue. Apart from the cockroaches, the bedroom had no fridge or proper wardrobe. The shower was extremely small, and the toilet was broken, so flushing toilet paper would block it. I wouldn’t recommend it, even though the price was moderately low for august.

The location made it easy to get around, with everything close by. There’s no hotel parking, though we found street parking nearby. The room was clean, the staff really friendly, and the shower was small but manageable. Good value for the price.

The rooms were cleaned daily, and ours was spacious with a nice terrace. For breakfast and the check-in and check-out, we had to go across the street to another building from the same brand. The hotel is in central Portimão, with both the bus and train stations easy to reach. A pleasant stay at fair prices.

The kitchen was disappointing: the stove and microwave both had problems, and there was no oil for cooking. The room itself was small but had what I needed, and it was reasonably clean, though not spotless. The building is a little old, which shows in the room and the somewhat worn bathroom. Still, there were enough towels and space in the bathroom, plus a TV and air conditioning. I could hear the neighbours' TV at night through the thin walls. Staff were fine and the service was good, if not especially friendly. It’s quite central and not far from the station. Fine for a hostel, but I wouldn’t call it a three-star hotel.
