The front desk was very helpful. They gave us a heater and extra blankets when we asked, and the man who checked us in was polite and informative. We arrived early and were allowed into the apartment a few hours ahead of time. It had all the amenities we needed, though no dishwasher or washing machine. The hot water tank was small, so a shower got maybe five minutes of hot water. The location was also really good: Lidl, Aldi, and McDonald's are five minutes away, town is a 30-minute walk, and the pier and beach are each about 20 minutes on foot. It's a nice walk, and you don't realize how far you've gone until you check your steps. Apart from the hot water, everything was great.

Each apartment has at least one balcony for eating outside or having a morning coffee. The corner units have two. There's also a small pool with loungers for all guests, though you'll need to bring your own beach towels. The apartments are extremely basic and quite tired. They provide the basics, but everything is very old and a lot of it looks second hand.

The pool shut at 5pm each evening, even though the sign outside said it was open until 7pm from June. When we asked, they said that applied from 21 June. We also had a late flight and had to leave our room by noon, but reception closed at 5pm, so there was nowhere to wait for our airport transfer or even use the toilet after that. It felt like we were being kicked out. The apartments were clean enough.

I booked a month online for 550 euros, then went to see the place and mentioned I had a dog. The price suddenly became 880 euros a month. They told me the dog cost 20 euros per day, which would make the total 1,150 euros, 550 for the room plus 600 for the dog. When I pointed out that their 880 euro figure didn't add up, the guy looked completely lost. Apparently, in his calculation the dog was 600 euros a month and the person only 280. I get that check-in staff don't need to be rocket scientists, but come on. He did make my day.

The pool was a pleasant surprise, well cared for and nicer than the photos suggest, though there were only a few loungers. We stayed four nights and five days, and the rooms and bathroom were spotless, with plenty of towels provided. Getting extra towels or a change through room service costs money, and service itself isn't frequent. Our deposit came back after about five days. The young guy at reception was helpful and friendly. It's in a local residential area rather than a tourist strip. There's a travellers' camp next door, but they keep to themselves. The cockerels may wake you around 5am, though. Our apartment cooled down with the fan, but I'm not sure it was proper AC. For the price, it was a really nice stay and I'd happily return.
