This place is a real find in Seixal, only meters from the beach. The rooms are spotless and looked after, and the hotel is a lovely 19th-century building that’s been beautifully preserved, with an antique feel. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I had the pleasure of meeting the owners too. They were so warm and welcoming. I highly recommend it if you’re lucky enough to find an available room.

The house was clean and the room comfortable, with traditional decor and a self-catering kitchen. Food options are limited in the village, so plan meals ahead. Parking is limited, but okay in the village. The location is superb, just a short walk from the beautiful black sand beach, with some swimming pools also within walking distance. The village itself is beautiful. The main downside was poor soundproofing. Plumbing noise from adjoining rooms was loud, so ear plugs are needed.

The place has a stocked kitchen for guests to use, as long as you clean up after yourself, and a mini supermarket is within walking distance, so self-catering is easy here. It’s a great location for the main tourist beach and we had a great stay.

The location was great, and we had an ocean view. Breakfast was very tasty, and senhora Natalia welcomed us like we were at home. We were also given complimentary wine in the room. Every item in the interior seems to have a story. Walking from the room to the kitchen felt like getting a free museum ticket. An exceptional place, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

The beach nearby was the best part of our 2-night stay. Inside, though, the house smelled like an elderly home and was full of dust, which isn't great for allergies. The decor is made up of very personal objects and antiques, really old things rather than vintage. The room can’t be cleaned because most of the objects are older than 1970. We don’t recommend it.
