The mattress was firm and very comfortable, and the pillows were good too. The room was clean, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the metro is a four-minute walk away. It’s about a 20-minute walk into the centre. I hadn’t expected much from what I think is a three-star place, based on the Booking.com pictures. Breakfast is just continental, so I preferred eating out, but it’s there if you need it. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep before 10 pm, as there’s a dog, though it doesn’t bark too much.
I was thrilled with this place. It was clean and in good condition, with helpful English-speaking staff. The elegant neighborhood has a lovely park, a metro station, and classy old-time buildings.
The beds were very comfortable, and we got the quiet room we asked for, right at the end of the top floor. Thanks for that. The building and rooms are outdated, and the toilet needed attention because the flush button kept sticking and the water ran constantly. Breakfast was mostly pastries, some cold cuts, and scrambled eggs with sausages. The staff were nice, but in hospitality these days, people need to understand and speak English. It’s fine for a couple of nights and not too far from the centre.
It’s an old building, so the rooms are noisy. The A/C worked properly, but black stuff was coming out of it and it needs cleaning. Otherwise, this was a really nice place for a few nights: good prices, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and staff made the beds every day. Reception is open 24/7, and check-in and checkout were easy. Breakfast was standard, which was fine for me.
We felt safe, and the hotel was close to many things. Communication was excellent and the breakfast left us very satisfied, though don’t expect five-star food. The staff gave us great attention. There’s paid parking out front on weekdays and free parking on weekends, but spaces are limited. The hotel also offers parking for 10 EUR a day. A great little hotel.
