Oporto Maison Entreparedes

The bedrooms and kitchen were fine, and the location was great, but the stay was poor overall. In July it was over 90 degrees during the day, and there was no working cooling system. We only learned this when we arrived, even though the website didn’t say there was no AC. There was a unit on the wall, but it didn’t work, and we were told none of the apartments had cooling. The TV coax cable was broken, so we had to ask for another one, which arrived the next day. The fan they gave us kept making a scratching noise, making it even harder to sleep. The showers were tiny as well. We stayed three nights in a two-bedroom apartment and wouldn’t recommend it in summer.

The room was really nice and had everything we needed. We arrived after reception had closed, and checking in was probably the easiest after-hours check-in I’ve had on Booking.com. Reception was helpful, and they let us leave our bags there. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro, with a few pubs and a shop nearby.

It’s a simple, clean place at a reasonable price, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were well serviced. The location is a strong point, close to transport, historic sights, bars, and restaurants you can reach on foot. The Douro is only a short walk away.

Our receptionist Ana was the best part of the stay. She was always nice and helped us with everything we needed. The flat was clean and well equipped, with a big breakfast and lovely large bathroom towels. It’s also well placed, close to the bridge and Flixbus station. Thank you!
