Bloom House by Sweet Porto

The location made exploring Porto easy, with the metro, shops, cafés and restaurants just around the corner and the main attractions close by. Our apartment was spotless and had everything we could need. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly and always ready to help, and their hospitality made the stay special. Absolutely amazing. I’d stay here again, and if I return to Porto, it’ll be my first choice. Highly recommended!

Travelers beware. I had booked four nights at Bloom House through Trip.com, but severe weather, a state of emergency and cancelled train service meant I couldn’t safely make the trip. I was traveling internationally from Canada and offered to pay for the first night, asking for some flexibility on the unused nights because of circumstances beyond my control. The hotel refused to adjust the booking, while Trip.com said the decision was up to the hotel. I was left without support during an active weather disruption. Situations like this show how companies respond when travelers face real emergencies. Before booking, I strongly recommend checking the cancellation terms and asking how weather-related disruptions are handled.

Catarina was helpful in the evening, and Suzana greeted us with a lovely smile when we arrived at Bloom House after a long day on the road. It was a really welcoming start to exploring the city. Our room was clean, cozy, and spacious, and the lively area has plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. Thanks to everyone at Bloom House!

They even left us a complimentary bottle of port for our arrival, a lovely touch. The team was quick to respond and very accommodating, and being able to reach them on WhatsApp made things easy. Really appreciated the hospitality.
