Breakfast had loads of choice and was excellent, and staff readily brought me a couple of extra pillows when I asked. Our room, 101, was comfortable and had a good shower. It’s underground and right by the road, so traffic disturbed us a little, though it quieted down from midnight to 6am. Earplugs should make that manageable. We stayed for two nights before our camino walk, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

Cedofeita is an up-and-coming artists’ district, and Rua de Cedofeita is a nice walk with restaurants and shops leading toward Vitoria. We had a balcony looking onto a pleasant garden. The rooms are small in this vintage house, but ours was in good condition. Breakfast was yummy, with fresh orange juice, a fried egg, good coffee, and lemon water that was always fresh. The staff were the friendliest!

It’s close enough to walk into downtown Porto without being right among the crowds. The room was bright, modern, and clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. A lovely hotel.

Theresa and Sofia looked after us from arrival through departure, and Theresa’s suggestions for restaurants and things to see were spot-on. My wife and I stayed four nights in June 2024, in Room 102 at basement level. It stayed refreshingly cool and had all the amenities we needed. Breakfast each morning included cold cuts, excellent cheeses, fresh pastries, coffee, tea, and juice. The guesthouse sits in a peaceful area, about a 10-minute walk from historic sites and 15-20 minutes from the Douro River waterfront. We found the location, service, and amenities excellent, and highly recommend it.
