There’s a lovely view over the river, and the place is clean and stylish. Marta was a friendly, very helpful host. The location worked especially well for an event at the alfadenga conference center. They were flexible about leaving our bags there, too.

I liked having coffee and bottled water in the room, along with an iron and ironing board, which is handy for business travelers, and a professional hair dryer. The cleaner came by each day to tidy the room and change the bed linen. It’s a great location, about a 15-minute walk along the river to the city center, with a beautiful river view.

We were blown away when we opened the room door. The river view was breathtaking, and Marta had even upgraded our room. It’s one of the most incredible views we’ve ever had, and we won’t forget it. Marta made our first visit to Porto feel welcoming from the start. She was so kind, made check-in easy, explained how the doors work, shared local travel tips, and recommended some great restaurants. The hotel is adults-only. There’s no guest elevator, though a lift is available for luggage, which was convenient. The location is great, just steps from the Douro River, and the value near the river is hard to beat.

Marta checked us in quickly and gave us useful information. She was exceptionally helpful. We were there for two nights, August 23-25th, in room 302, which was nicely arranged, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful river view. The balcony is narrow, but usable for photos. There’s quite a bit of street noise, though earplugs helped and it got quieter later in the evening. There’s no fridge, kitchenette, or safe in this room, but those are available on the main floor. We found some great restaurants nearby. The riverside location means walking into town can be strenuous, but plenty of places are accessible along the waterfront at this level.
