Douro Apartments - Ribeira

Really nice apartments close to the river.

The location is amazing.

The apartment is roomy and good value, with clean, pleasant interiors despite the old building. The hosts are kind and quick to respond, and the center is close enough to walk around from here. The building feels well cared for, even though it is old. I’d recommend staying here to friends visiting Porto.

The apartment itself was great: renovated, well kept, and set up thoughtfully, with a complimentary glass of Port wine. The four of us had plenty of room in the single large room and bathroom, and we could cook there. The location puts you right in the heart of Porto, which is both a plus and a minus. The building is quite old, and the shared stairs and entrance are in very poor condition. For drivers, there’s a garage just across the street, though it’s expensive. We used another nearby one across the river instead, which I highly recommend. It costs €7 per day, and we left the car there and walked everywhere.
