ICON Duplo Ribeira

The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of hot and cold choices, and the staff made the stay especially enjoyable with their friendly welcome and helpfulness. Everything about the Icon Duplo Ribeira was fantastic. It's in the desirable, central Ribeira area, which I'd absolutely recommend to first time visitors. Though the area is busy, it was quiet at night. The hotel was clean and fresh, and the European standard size rooms were small but cozy. The bed and pillows were both comfortable.

Alfonso was so welcoming and helpful. I was really impressed with the staff, decor, atmosphere, and location. It's rare for a hotel to call housekeeping to check if your room is ready without even being asked, but he did. The soundproofing was great, and we slept soundly in very comfortable beds. Snacks and refreshments in the lobby, breakfast, and a reading room were nice bonuses. Highly recommend.

I stayed 2 nights and was glad I chose this hotel. The bed was very comfortable, with different pillows and sheets to choose from, and I appreciated being able to adjust the air-conditioning. It took me a minute to figure out the curtains, even though the desk explained them, but once closed they made the room completely dark and peaceful. The hotel is on a main street, yet I was never woken by noise, even though I usually sleep late. My room was generous in size, and the bathroom was fully equipped and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they let me receive a package before I arrived. They also offered recommendations for places to go and eat. It's very close to the tourist district and within walking distance of other parts of town. I'd recommend it to anyone new to Porto.

The breakfast spread was elaborate and delicious, and we'd fill up on it before exploring the city. We spent 3 nights at ICON Duplo Ribeiro and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is a short walk from the Duoro waterfront and several of Porto's main attractions. Rooms and the property were immaculately maintained. We were told the hotel had been fully renovated about 3 years ago, and it shows. The staff were very helpful, especially Sergio, who found us great dinner spots, called ahead to check whether some dishes we wanted were still available, and recommended local sights. Since the hotel is central and on a narrow one-way street, some taxi drivers may drop you at the nearest intersection. Once, we had to lug our luggage up the steep street. We didn't have that problem with Bolt and Uber.
