Metro Heroismo Residence

We enjoyed our stay overall. The whole building is set up for rentals and seems to work well, and the bakery across the road is handy. The metro is directly opposite, making it easy to get around the city, though the noise from trains beneath the building was my main complaint. You can hear it most at night, right up until the metro stops in the early hours, then it starts again before dawn. It’s intrusive if you’re not used to nighttime noise. We had the top-floor apartment, which was comfortable and clean, but the stairs up to the duplex’s upper level are very steep and feel risky. In the morning there was also a strong sewer smell from the downstairs bathroom.

A sunny, pleasant apartment, with restaurants close by and the metro just across the street. At night, though, you can hear the traffic, and that was the one thing I didn’t like.

It was an easy place to access and a nice base for trips around Porto. The apartment is spacious and has air conditioning. The bathrooms could use better cleaning and maintenance.

The photos looked nice, but seeing the apartment in person was even better. We found parking easily and mostly explored on foot, though getting around by car would be easy too. The place is spacious and fully equipped, and there’s a metro stop right next door. We’ll definitely come back.
