We couldn't get comfortable or sleep properly, and the conditions felt well below acceptable. The drain barely worked, leaving us standing in water whenever we showered. Running the sink brought a sewage-like smell into the room, and it was hard to stay there more than a few minutes. Our bed was stained. The hotel said they'd change the cover after we contacted them, but they never did. Housekeeping replaced the towels, but didn't clean the room during our stay, even after we asked. The sewage and mold odor was so strong that we had to leave the windows open. Then mosquitoes got in, and we had sleepless nights. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

Fatima really looked after us and made us feel at home. The apartment was cozy, clean, and, above all, VERY QUIET. Breakfast was nice too, and we had a superb stay. There were quite a few homeless people in the neighborhood, which felt a little strange, but it didn't change how much we enjoyed being there.

The kitchenette worked fine for breakfast, though you'll need to bring your own food. There was a lovely coffee machine but no coffee capsules. The bed was comfortable, and the toilet felt a bit cramped. It's a nice central spot for a couple of nights while you explore Porto.

The streets and paths around here, and across Porto, are steep and uneven, so that could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. I felt secure, though, and had no problem with the soup kitchen across the road, unlike some other visitors. The apartment is clean but tiny, with a small kitchenette, fridge with a micro freezer, stove, and bathroom. The location is hard to beat, very close to the popular places in the center.
