One Shot Aliados Goldsmith

Laura welcomed me and told me about the hotel and the city’s highlights. The hotel is right in the centre, about a seven-minute walk from Ribera port and two minutes from the tower. There was renovation work nearby, but it wasn’t connected to the hotel. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, though the sound insulation is a little weak. Wifi worked well. After checkout, I went shopping and Nadia at reception kept an eye on my belongings. She was very attentive, and I’m grateful to her. I enjoyed my stay and would like to come back.

We had a cute balcony, and there was some street noise along with a bit of construction noise starting around 8am. It didn’t bother us, and it’s about what you’d expect in a city. I’ve stayed in places with much worse street noise. The rooftop is a really cool feature with great views, and the front desk staff were all super friendly. Our room was a good size and came with lots of free extras, including slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, as well as the usual shampoo and conditioner. This place is wonderful, and you can’t beat the location.

Breakfast was great, with lots of choices, including fresh fruit, cereals, and pastries. There’s a Nespresso Professional machine, too. We ate while looking at the view each morning, and the outdoor terrace off the dining area would be beautiful on a sunny day. The dining room was clean and spacious, staff there were attentive and informative, and we could refill our water bottles whenever we liked. Will gave us a friendly welcome at the door and was happy to help with anything. The foyer is small and simple, but had what we needed, even umbrellas for Porto’s unpredictable weather. Our second-floor room was lovely and spacious, and the shared areas were very clean and well styled. It’s a period property, so we did hear the occasional bit of street noise. The room was cleaned daily. The hotel is right in the centre, with tourist spots within walking distance, restaurants and cafes close by, and it felt safe. Will suggested local places to eat, and he was so right, the food was amazing. We like asking locals where they’d go because some tourist reviews are hyped up. There was construction outside, but we couldn’t hear it inside. This was the best boutique hotel we stayed in, and I highly recommend it for Porto.

I stayed for a week. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly. The only thing that bothered me was the loud air conditioner. The hotel is pretty quiet despite being close to Metro and the train station, with easy connections anywhere. I’d come back and recommend One Shot Aliados Goldsmith to friends. I’d also choose One Shot hotels in other countries.
