Oporto Street Fonte Taurina

The room was really noisy because of the restaurants downstairs, and the windows don't seal well. There's no air conditioning, despite what the website says. The only staff member around was the cleaner. We had to climb plenty of stairs too. For the price, this felt like an awful guest house pretending to be a hotel.

The water carafe and glasses by the bed were a lovely touch. The room itself, though, felt small for 180 euros a night. The carpet wasn't very clean, there was no desk, and no tea or coffee in the room. A Nespresso pod in the breakfast room costs a euro. They also washed the glasses in the bathroom sink with hand soap and left them to dry on the back of the toilet. A few things went wrong, and with no staff before 9 or after 5, it was hard to sort them out. One day I had no large towels and no way to get any. I'd booked breakfast, but nothing arrived, and the company didn't answer emails. I left a note for the maid, and they apologized with a nice box of snacks and wine. When my breakfast order did come, it was really high quality and very good. It's a nice hotel in a great location, but there were too many problems for a 5-star rating.

Matilde at the front desk was a huge help and gave us lots of great suggestions, including Nata Sweet Nata 👌🏻. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the view was incredible. We were right in the center, and breakfast was so good. I can't say enough about how great our stay was!

The riverfront rooms have astonishing views, and the location is great. Our room was fine, though it had only the bed and no seat. Breakfast was very good for this kind of service.
