Porto Old Town – Tourism Apartments

Just off Porto’s main square, the apartment sits on a quiet side street lined with shops, cafes, and bars. It was clean and roomy, with a sink, fridge, two TVs, air conditioning, and a great bathroom. There are four apartments on each floor, and a small lift serves all floors. The central location makes it an easy walk to the cathedral and riverfront. Porto itself is lively and busy, with lots of food choices. It was the cheapest accommodation we found through Booking.com. The photos show Porto in general, not the apartment.

Centrally located, with plenty of room for a family. There are three bathrooms, a kitchen area and a shared space.

The street outside was noisy, which was the one drawback. Otherwise, we'd happily stay again. The location is handy for the market, metro and restaurants, and there's a shop across the road selling cheese, meats and wine. Staff were friendly and helpful, the place was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Our room had a safe, dining table and chairs, a small fridge, glasses, plates and cutlery. There was nothing for washing dishes, but housekeeping took care of them. A lift serves the upper floors.

Although the street was busy, the room stayed very quiet. It was well laid out, with a bedroom, sitting room, espresso maker and mini kitchen, and they left a complimentary medium-sized bottle of port. The reception desk was useful too. They gave me a map and directions to restaurants and places to visit, and both restaurant recommendations were quite good. It's a small, excellent hotel in a perfect location.
