I’ve booked again for August/September, this time for a longer stay. The owners were friendly and looked after us well, and the room and huge bed were both really comfortable. It’s a quiet neighborhood, around 15-20 minutes downhill to the river past lots of shops, cafes and great patisseries. The place is good value and close to the centre and attractions. The wardrobe felt too big, a clothes rail would work better. I chose the shared shower and toilet, which were clean and had hot water. If you like motorbikes, there’s a great Harley Davidson shop about 70 yards away, across the road and up the slight hill on the right. I’d stay again. I will do it for free accommodation Senorita Elisabet.

The heating in the rooms wasn’t working properly, and there was a very strong damp smell. We were worried about our health, so we left and rented somewhere else. We cancelled a four-night stay after the first night, but the owner refused to refund the unused nights. I can’t comment on the accommodation overall, since maybe you’d be lucky enough to get a heated room.

The staff were responsive, and the location is very good, close to the city centre. The AC worked, and there was a boiler if you want tea. Apart from those things, our stay was a nightmare. It was the dirtiest hotel and room I’ve ever stayed in. The shower, tiles and walls were old and filthy, and should have been renovated 20 years ago. They seemed to ignore every detail in the room. The electrical setup looked worrying too. I’m glad nothing happened to me. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Check-in can be at any time, and the hotel is clean and well located. I didn’t give it five stars because the bed wasn’t very comfortable for me, although my wife found it okay. I guess that comes down to personal preference.

The location is excellent. This is basic accommodation, fine if you’re mostly out and just need somewhere to sleep. They clean the room before you check in and after you check out, but not during your stay.
