The staff made this a five-star stay for me. I don't speak Portuguese, and they were lovely, accommodating, and knew Porto well. I stayed in one of the other rooms rather than the main hotel, and it was fine for the price, just as advertised. There was a mini fridge and bag storage, though the Seculo soft wing has no elevator. I'd stay again, but may try the hotel next time.

Room 501 was much bigger than I expected, with a terrace. It took only about 20 minutes to walk to the centre, or 20-25 minutes to the chapel of soul. The staff were very kind. I only discovered on the second day that the terrace wasn't enclosed from the room. That's a significant issue, and the hotel management should check it and fix it.

A quiet, clean hotel, and a great base for getting around downtown Porto.

The mattresses were the best I've had, even compared with luxury hotels. The hotel itself was great too. The internet was too slow for YouTube or Netflix, though.

The rooms are roomy and clean, with daily cleaning and service. Staff were nice and helpful, and Porto Centre is about 15-20 minutes away on foot or by bus. The website's soundproofing claim is a bit optimistic: guests in the room above can be noisy, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. Housekeeping can also be loud around 8.30am.
