The management was helpful, and having a car was manageable too, with parking available. The apartment is right on Rue St Catarina, with tourist spots, shops, food and coffee all within walking distance. It’s an old town with mostly old buildings, so don’t expect a pristine, modern interior. You can also hear the street noise.

We had a great two-night stay with friends. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the city center and just steps from the metro, but the neighborhood is quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Great value for the money, highly recommend.

The place is affordable for what it offers, and the host is really nice.

Our group of five stayed for a week, and the apartment worked well for us. It was good value at a reasonable price, with very good service, spotless towels and bed linen, and useful equipment throughout, including a lift. Studio Porto Solar is a larger-than-usual duplex on the very central Rua Santa Caterina. The street is busy and has all sorts of shops, and transport and attractions are close by.
