Sweet Swell

Pretty much the perfect Porto hostel. The atmosphere, people and chef were all amazing. Just remember to bring a towel, since one isn’t included.

The room was big, secure and really affordable, and the place is well located, close to downtown. There’s also a cute vegan restaurant nearby. Miguel was kind, quick to respond and a great host. I really appreciated his hospitality. Had a great stay and would absolutely recommend! 💫✨

The hostel is modern, very clean and close to a supermarket, with the city center not too far away. Miguel was a great host and patiently worked around my arrival time. The facilities were really good overall. One small suggestion, a fan in the room would help, since the window faced the street and it was too noisy to leave open.

The owner has even put together a list of restaurants, bars and places to visit, with routes for different amounts of time. He was born and raised in Porto, and gave us his number in case of an emergency. He was warm, friendly and open minded, and he’s a surfer too, which makes him a pretty cool person. The whole place feels welcoming and cozy, with a lot of thoughtful touches, sweet and savory. I loved the decor, and the cleaning was impeccable. No matter which room you get, you can use the well-organized common kitchen and a lovely garden terrace. The rooms have clear systems that make your stay run smoothly. The owner really has thought of every detail.
