CdC Apartments Lapa by Casa do Conto

The staff really made our stay. They did a fantastic job, and breakfast was wonderful too. The hotel's mix of modern and mid-century style feels cool and inviting. Definitely recommend it, you'll like it.

We liked having a peaceful place to return to after busy days. This is a small boutique hotel that feels both sophisticated and cozy, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Most major sights are within a 25-minute walk at most, or a short drive, while the central location still feels removed from the bustle. I'd love to stay here again next time I'm in Porto.

We had a terrace room on the top floor, which was the best room, and we'd gladly stay at Casa do Conto again. The building brings history and modern design together, with thoughtful details and an elegant but welcoming feel. Staff were warm, attentive and always ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with local touches, and the heart of Porto is only a short walk away.

The location is great and the staff are friendly, but a few things made the stay less pleasant. The room's motion sensor shuts everything off if you're away for more than 10 minutes. When I asked about it, I was simply told it was for the ecosystem. The wash-and-fold laundry came back with all our clothes still wet. There was no bottled or filtered water either, and the response was just to drink from the tap. Management could pay more attention to making things comfortable for travelers. Overall, I wouldn't call this a 4-star hotel, closer to 3, I'd say.
