Trindade Oporto Apartments Group

It was only about a five-minute walk to the Almeida Garrett monument, though being opposite the train station meant noise from 6 a.m. until after midnight. The accommodation was small but adequate for two, and the bathroom was fine. The kitchen had very little equipment. The air conditioning and TV weren't working.

The location is the apartment's best feature, but I wouldn't come back. It was noisy, worn and dirty, and the cleaning room needed cleaning. Although the place was well equipped, it was missing basics like a coffee maker. The mattress was awful, and I wondered how long it had been since it was replaced. The apartment manager was slow to respond to our messages during and after the stay, though she was quick enough to ask for our money on the first day.

The room was large and comfortable, and the location was very good. There aren't any closets. The water heater doesn't hold enough for two showers back to back. Watch out for the door key, too, since it jams and could leave you locked out.

You can walk from here to the main sights around Porto since it's right in the middle of everything. I think the service could include some tea or coffee for tourists at breakfast, but otherwise it was fine.
