Uma Formosa Apartments

Getting around was easy from the apartment: two supermarkets, Sao Bento train station, and major attractions are all walkable. It was very clean, and having two bathrooms and an elevator made our stay much more pleasant. We stayed four nights and would have found a washing machine really helpful. Some kitchen appliances also took us a while to figure out, so manuals or instructions would be useful. The sound insulation could be better too, since we often heard neighbors walking or making noise.

I stayed in a penthouse with an enormous amount of space. The breakfast was so generous I could barely finish it and had to take some home, and the city center was close, with a traditional supermarket just a five-minute walk away. It felt luxurious, but the price was incredibly reasonable. It was the best apartment I’ve stayed in. The only disappointment was self check-in, so I hardly saw the host and couldn’t thank him in person.

Maria made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and even helped with our bags. Ursula was just as thoughtful when we called with questions, making sure we had what we needed. We also got helpful tips on places to see. Our family suite had two bedrooms and was spotless, with a fridge, microwave and utensils. The Wi-Fi worked well everywhere. We were on the top floor in July and worried it might be too hot, but the air conditioning in every room kept us comfortable. A warm, affordable stay in a really handy location.

The apartment worked perfectly for the four of us, and Anna and Ursula were lovely. Breakfast was brought to our door by 7:30, so we could pick it up whenever we got up. It came with milk, juice, butter, jam and coffee capsules, plus two rolls, a sweet muffin and a croissant. My one small suggestion would be to include a little more ham and cheese. There was just one slice of each, cut in half, which didn't leave much to put in the rolls.
