Urban Apartment Casa da Portela

The owner was lovely and had taken care of every little detail to help us have a good stay. The apartment is beautiful and has everything you could need, plus more. Its location is hard to beat, close to San Bento station and Flores area. The neighborhood felt okay overall, though as a woman traveling solo I did notice a few people who seemed a bit suspicious and made me feel less comfortable. Nothing major happened, and things were okay during our stay.

The house is somewhat dim inside, so we spent most of the day with sunlight coming through the windows. It was incredibly clean, though, with plenty of towels for our five-day stay and all kinds of cutlery that made cooking easy. I used the shower filter the whole time and it was still clean after five days. I brought tick patches and bug spray just in case, sprayed the sofa and bed once, and didn't need it again :) I'll share photos and a video of the terrace view. For São Bento Station, take the exit on the left from the accommodation. It's very close. The uphill stretch is steep but short and manageable. To reach Moru Hill, go out to the right and the route goes straight over the bridge. Maria was incredibly kind and helpful at check-in, answered my questions and requests, and was always available. A great fit for busy Koreans who are always on the go.

We had a great view over the old town from this very clean apartment, and everything we needed was within walking distance. Maria welcomed us so warmly, and the whole place was organized incredibly well. We'd definitely come back.

Set in a fully renovated historic building, the apartment is furnished with charm and great taste. The owner was attentive and available whenever we had questions. It's ideally located in Porto, and an address to remember for an unforgettable stay!
