We came back for a second year with the family. The house has kept all of its old charm, and it's so enjoyable that you could spend the whole holiday there and only go out for supplies. The pool is marvellous, too. Quiet isn't guaranteed all the time. The neighbouring church rings its bells every 15 minutes, which feels ridiculous, as if it were 1897 and nobody had a watch. Some cars also rush by noisily. Apart from that, sitting by the pool and listening to leaves rustle in the breeze is magical. I like an active break, so I enjoyed working out on the grass and playing loads of badminton and basketball. We swam from morning until night, when the water was still warm, the stars were out, and the pool was lit. My one complaint is that there's no ground-floor toilet. It's a small annoyance, though, since every room has its own bathroom. The time flew by, and we had a wonderful stay.

Horse riding through the mountains was spectacular. A must-see place to relax and unwind, with a friendly host who made us feel at home.

I liked this place so much that I even wanted to organize my wedding here! The owners were really friendly and made our stay more enjoyable. There's parking, a fully equipped kitchen, and a barbecue, and everything was top-notch. Being able to bring our dog was a great bonus for us as pet lovers. Not every room had a bathtub, but each one did have a bathroom, which was very convenient. Everything inside and out looked lovely. I highly recommend it, and want to thank the owners again for such a wonderful place!

The private, enclosed parking was convenient, and we were greeted with warmth and good spirits. It's a lovely place to spend a weekend away from the city's bustle, surrounded by nature. It was so relaxing to spend time around the ducks and chickens. The house keeps the rustic character of an old home. It doesn't offer the comfort of modern facilities, but it has the charm of an older house.

We had a wonderful family horse ride through the village and forest, and the kids still can't stop talking about how much they loved it. Luis and his daughter Beatriz welcomed us so warmly and made their home feel like ours for the day. They also let our children join in with little farm jobs, including feeding the ponies. We're so grateful for the whole experience, and we'd definitely recommend Casa de Requeixo as a place to return to!
