Hospedaria Casa D Av Quarto 3 - Twin

The place is a bit old and rusty, but it was okay for one night. We arrived late, at 21:30, after our flight was delayed, and check-in went smoothly. The employee was waiting for us on the stairs, which was reassuring.

The room was noisy and humid, and it didn't smell very good.

It could work for backpackers or a one-night stop. The rooms were clean and tidy, though not very comfortable, and towels were provided but no toiletries. The photos made the house look welcoming and well kept, but in person it's older and smells musty. It's near the airport and easy to reach on foot, though the area is a bit noisy. Staff were helpful, but check-in wasn't very organized. Nobody was there to meet us, so the owner, who lives above the restaurant next door and doesn't handle reservations, had to let us in.

The house is over 200 years old and has recently been restored and remodeled. It has affordable rooms, a garden courtyard, and an outdoor seating area for relaxing. From there you get a lovely view of the Lajes base runway, where you can watch planes land and take off, so it's a good spot for plane spotting. There's access for people with disabilities, and the kitchen is available for use. It's suitable for one person, groups, or family holidays. Praia da Vitória town center and the beaches are 3 km away, the airport is 500 meters away, and Angra do Heroísmo, a World Heritage city, is 15 minutes away.
