Hotel Teresinha

It’s about 500 meters from the marina and beach. The rooms felt very basic, and to me everything looked old and well used, from the beds and sheets to the towels.

The breakfast was nice, though the choices were limited, and the hotel is well placed near restaurants and bars. It’s recently renovated, but a lot of the work seems poorly finished. There were many damp stains on our room walls, and the shower glass wasn’t sealed properly, so the bathroom flooded every time we showered. The reception staff weren’t helpful at all: when we asked where to see the bulls, they basically said, “not here.” Wi-Fi cut out randomly and didn’t work in some parts of the hotel. The air conditioner also wasn’t powerful enough to make much difference.

Breakfast was really good, and the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet part of Praia do Vitória. The beds weren’t very comfortable, but all in all it was a good place to stay.

The rooms are roomy enough for two, with a modern interior and an outdoor pool. The location is good, and the receptionist was helpful and kind. Like everywhere on the island, there’s a humidity issue, though you don’t feel it.
