MiraVillas Hotel

The rooms were quite spacious, and the hotel was very nice. The receptionist spoke English and was really helpful.

I was glad not to be paying full price, especially in October during the low season. The pool was lovely, though cold as expected. My air conditioning didn’t work, and since reception shuts in the evening, I slept with the balcony doors open and could hear every noise outside. I usually stay in two- or three-star places and just want a safe, comfortable bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and quiet. At a four-star hotel, I’d expect at least a coffee machine or kettle and supplies.

The staff were professional, and check-in went OK. My room was large, but the air conditioning wasn’t working and took a while to get fixed. For a four-star hotel, I expected coffee-making facilities in the room, especially since there was space for them. The beds were big, but the pillows need replacing. Breakfast was very poor: the only hot choices were burnt bacon and scrambled eggs, and the cold selection was limited to a couple of slices of ham, cheese slices, bread, and pastries. There wasn’t even a toaster. I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel suited a stay of a few nights, and the neighbourhood was calm. The staff deserve five stars, but breakfast gets two: the choices were very limited.
