At Jardim Atlântico, we had a lovely, relaxing stay surrounded by nature. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the ocean views were breathtaking. The staff were warm, attentive and exceptionally friendly.

The room and cleanliness were fine, and I don't have any major complaints there. But that breakfast, especially the coffee, was awful. How did so many tasteless things end up together in one place? It's honestly the worst hotel breakfast I've had in years.

If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, the location is great. The sea views, spacious rooms, helpful receptionists and good service were all positives. But the furniture is dated, there's no air conditioning, and the food is bland and overcooked. You'll need a rental car. The hotel really needs to review the food it serves. Also, for a 4* hotel, management should consider a restaurant dress code, especially in the evenings. Seeing guests walking around in swimwear and hiking gear felt inappropriate.

The evening music groups were a lovely touch, and the buffet had plenty to choose from, with delicious food at a very reasonable price. Hotel Jardim Atlantico was spotless and wonderfully peaceful, with incredible views everywhere. We loved our time there. The location and surroundings were beautiful, and for Madeira the quality for the price is fantastic. Highly recommend it.

We visited in April and found the hotel old-fashioned, in need of a refresh. The food was just okay, nothing special, and there wasn't much variety. It felt more like what you'd expect from a 3-star place than a 4-star one. We also had morning hot-water problems in the shower, and on our first day found a dead lizard under the mattress.
