Outsite Vilamoura - Work, Connect, Explore

This is my first one star review. I arrived a bit early at outsite vilamoura, exhausted from transit, and was left sitting outside for hours because every door was locked and there were no employees around. I didn’t see anyone from the facility for the rest of the day, and the place felt like a ghost town until evening. The location is a bit outside the city and isn’t ideal without a car, which I’d recommend having. Some of the closest restaurants are a 30 minute walk away. The grounds were a mess too: sidewalks looked like they hadn’t been swept in weeks, furniture was floating in the pool, which didn’t seem operational, and recent construction had left the bathrooms messy. I asked to cancel the rest of my stay for a refund, move to another facility with open rooms, or get a credit for a future stay, but was denied each time. I really liked the concept and tried to find a compromise. This feels like a very poor way to build brand loyalty. I’d hoped to stay at several outsite locations in the future, but after this incident, I won’t.

The pool is lovely, a great temperature, with grass, plants, trees, and umbrellas for shade. Guests can also book activities like yoga for a reasonable price. The location is peaceful, with a good supermarket nearby, and the beach and town are walkable in 25mins. Amazing value for money! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, a small balcony, work desk, sofa, TV with streaming, kitchen, and modern bathroom. The shared spaces are great too, including a laundry room and a co-working area with a kitchen. There are even yoga mats and decent weights, 5kg and 8kg dumbbells, 20kg kettlebells, and resistance bands. The manager is friendly and helpful, and the PDF guide sent in advance is the best I’ve ever seen. The directions are really clear, and the manager is available on Whatsapp to help. The whole place is quiet, calm, and beautifully run.

The outdoor space is lovely and well maintained, and the garden, pool, and BBQ area have everything you need. It’s about 3 km from the town centre, but the peace and quiet make that worthwhile. The apartments are welcoming and very nice, with more or less everything you need for cooking and daily life. We had a small mix-up when we arrived, but things happen, and they made a considerable effort to resolve it. My only complaint is that there’s no corkscrew for crown corks.
