The weather was the highlight of my round at vila sol golf today. The course itself was okay, but there were plenty of very wet, soggy patches. The tee boxes were awful too, and it was hard to find a flat spot to stand.

It has the feel of a gated community, with almost all residents being foreign nationals. There’s a golf course, upscale restaurants and an English pub. The crowd seems quite old, with no young families around.

The complex looks beautiful and feels very safe and secure.
