Casal da Viúva

There’s gorgeous scenery all around, with plenty of scope for walks and drives, plus good wine to enjoy. The owners were so kind and caring, and both breakfast and dinner were great. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and there are common rooms if you fancy a change of scene. 10/10, we'd recommend it.

We had one of the best stays of our trip here. The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the host made us feel at home, helping us out with directions and suggestions for the area. The place is tastefully decorated, too. One tip if you're driving at night: stick to the main road instead of following Google Maps onto small, dark, narrow roads.

We were four people staying with Zulmeida & Miguel for two nights. The rooms were spotless, and there were nice spots indoors and outside to sit and relax. We had dinner there both nights and really enjoyed it. When they found out I was coeliac, they went out of their way to make gluten-free meals. Breakfast was good, and it’s a great Casa.

Our room was big and very clean, with air conditioning and internet, and the Wi-Fi worked everywhere. There’s also a nice garden with a table and chairs for relaxing. This family-owned place is a renovated big house with six rooms, and we stayed one night. Thanks to Miguel and his wife for the hospitality. There’s a cosy little restaurant, o lagar, a minute’s walk away, owned by Pedro, that you must try. Amazing place!
