The location is peaceful, and parking is free. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom, and both were cleaned every day. We had a great time here. Nelson is a wonderful host, full of warmth and love for the region and his guests. If you prefer a small place with a friendly, welcoming feel over a hotel, this is perfect for the Algarve 😊

Nelson, the owner, speaks great English and gave me a warm, funny welcome. When I told him the place was beautiful, he made me laugh by saying, “A beautiful place to me means a lot of work.” You can tell he puts in plenty of effort, and he still took time to explain the mini bus, the islands, and the pretty part of town. I mentioned I was vegan, and he thought I might be lucky to find a salad down the road. Instead, I found so much more at Cafe Bar Da Contino. They put together a delicious meal for me, with fresh juices. The locals were there for coffee, shorts, and burgers, and the conversation was engaging. A beautiful young couple run CaCafe Bar Da Contina. Can’t wait for breakfast. My taxi from the airport cost 22.20Euro, more than the 10-15 I expected. The driver left the meter running while he pulled over to ask Nelson for directions, and seemed to ignore me when I asked him to stop it. I could have called Nelson, though, and I’m grateful I made it here.

I’ve stayed here twice now. It’s top-notch for decor, comfort, and the extras, and it’s in a quiet spot. There’s a regular bus into the main area, so getting there is easy.
