Our room at Montimerso was a highlight, with a beautiful lake view, a little patio, and a splash pool that was lovely for cooling off. The food and wine were top class, though fairly pricey. The sausage and pineapple dish didn't do the chef justice, it was literally some hot dog and chunks of pineapple. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, depending on what activities you want to do. We had a brilliant stay, with welcoming service and sweet resident dogs.

We came in February with our two kids and booked two rooms next to each other, which worked really well. The staff were polite, friendly, and thoughtful. The minimalist design, well-kept gardens and pool, beautiful scenery, and spacious rooms with all the amenities made this an amazing place. We'd really like to come back and would definitely recommend it to our friends.

This place felt like someone's dream made real: a dark sky for stargazing, simple luxury, art, comfort, and above all, hospitality. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable, with its own outdoor whirlpool tub. Dinner was pleasant, and the grounds were a joy, with a treehouse, trails, bicycles, and plenty of nature. I woke at 3:30am and saw a whole galaxy of stars from our back patio. Magical ✨✨✨

A lovely break from the city's hustle and bustle, with a great pool to relax beside and a delicious breakfast. Thanks to Katerina at reception and David in the restaurant for the great service!

The staff are young, energetic, and always ready to help. Breakfast is included and plentiful, and dinner is worth trying at least once. The pool is nice, though some of the other areas around the property need better upkeep. A wonderfully peaceful country house with a fantastic view of Alqueva.
