Gonçalo was a lovely, friendly host and helped us with whatever we needed. Douro Mesio Guest House gave us a really comfortable stay during our short trip to Resende, with extraordinary views of the Douro river and the hills around it. We’ll definitely come back.

We had a great stay at Mesio Guest house. The hosts made us feel very welcome, and the views were spectacular. It’s a short drive from Porto, with plenty of viewpoints, wineries and the valley’s main cities nearby.

The garden is beautifully thought out, with lovely corners everywhere, and the pool was great after sunbathing there. The view is breathtaking too. We had a wonderful family stay, the house was in perfect condition, and the hosts were very friendly and easy to reach. We’d absolutely come back!

The owners were really friendly, the prices were affordable, and a cute little cat kept us company during our stay. The small house was adorable, with pleasant decor that suited the atmosphere, and the scenery was beautiful.
