We feel incredibly lucky to have stayed here. The owners made a real effort to make everything special, and were among the friendliest, most welcoming hosts we’ve met. We’ve stayed in places across the United States, Africa, South America, and Europe, and this renovation really stands out. The pool, grounds, and lodging are all beautiful, and the peaceful surroundings made for a blissfully quiet stay and a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was lovely, with sublime homemade cake and pastries from the owner.

The gardens and pool were lovely, and the grapes growing on the vines tasted delicious. Breakfast was wonderful, with plenty to eat. We hadn’t realized we needed to phone on arrival, but someone in the village noticed us and called ahead. Someone came by shortly afterward to show us to our room. It’s a lovely farm-style place to stay.

A quiet place with new, clean rooms and a fantastic lounge. The breakfast is simple, but made with quality products, and the owner is friendly.

The bed was comfortable, and the hosts were kind and attentive. It’s a great place to stay, very close to the historic center of Sortelha. The one downside is that there’s no phone signal, and check-in ends very early. If you’re arriving after a day at work, it’s impossible to make it within the stated hours.

Breakfast came with the price, and we got to try the owner’s homemade jams and cakes. She was very friendly. The accommodation was comfortable, quiet, and very close to the historic center, and the house itself is lovely. We left feeling completely refreshed.
