The rooms feel ugly and dated, though the beds were comfortable. The building itself is so unpleasant that it spoils the whole city view. At least if you stay somewhere else, you won't have to look at it from your window.

We loved how well this place suited the way we travel: we spend our days exploring the area, not sitting by a pool. It was the best place we stayed in Portugal. The building is old and a bit rough around the edges, with some unusual features, but our room had a full kitchen with nearly everything we needed. It was missing dishwashing supplies, though, and the toilet seat wouldn't stay up.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the free on-site parking was convenient. Even when that lot was busy, parking on the street was an option. The hotel may be old-fashioned, but it's kept very clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning and a very good breakfast. I really appreciate how carefully they look after the property and the service.

The spacious, clean room and lovely sea views made the hotel's excellent beachside location a plus. We were there for three nights and didn't have breakfast. The kitchenette came in handy, though it was short on a few basics. The furniture and decor could use an update, and while we were comfortable, the stay didn't leave a strong impression. I'd give it 3 out of 5.
