We stayed for a couple of days in January 26. The restaurant was closed, but the short walk into town gives you plenty of places to eat. The town and campsite seem geared toward surfing, so aside from the fort there isn’t much else of interest. I imagine both get very busy in high season. The campsite is an easy walk from town and is nicely laid out among pine trees. Some motorhome pitches have electric hookups, and the showers and other facilities were spotlessly clean. My only complaint was the mosquitoes around the facilities. UV fly traps would be welcome, and I expect the problem is worse when it’s warmer and they’re active.

We paid 22€ for one night for two people with a camper, without electricity. Our pitch had two concrete rails that helped level the van, though I can see how they’d be awkward if you’re putting up a tent. We were by the toilets, showers, and laundry, farther from reception. Everything was clean, but the facilities are quite old and the showers don’t have much pressure. There was also some talking late into the night, which disturbed us a bit.

The staff at reception were really helpful, and Sagres surf&Coffee inside is lovely. We slept perfectly because it was so quiet, then woke to the sound of doves. I even saw a woman cleaning the toilet very carefully this morning, and I have a lot of respect for people who do their jobs well. It’s a beautiful campsite in a pine forest and the price feels right for what you get. Of course, it isn’t the busy season, but if guests keep it clean, it’s a great experience. Just like “Percect Day” 🎥 of Win Wenders 🙏

The staff were friendly and service-minded, and we had no trouble finding a spot for our 12m motorhome. Good dumping station, 5A power, laundry, and warm showers. A very nice place.

We had the basics we needed, with showers, toilets, a washroom, and water, and it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. But our first visit was just okay, not quite what we expected. In July, one night cost €40.30. The biggest issue for us was the location: there’s nothing nearby, and the village and beach are too far to walk to, so you need a car or bike. We only had one option for getting around, and that’s why we won’t return. You can rent surfboards, but I’m not sure how you’d get them to the beach with a rooftop tent open or a motorhome set up. There’s a fox warning; we only saw one running around at night, which is what you’d expect when camping in nature. The little shop on site has a very limited selection and high prices. It’s rooftop tent-friendly-ish. #travelwithtentbox
