Palace Hotel & SPA

We wouldn't come back. The evening restaurant food was poor, and breakfast was simply awful. The receptionist was the rudest we've ever encountered, with a manner that brought 'pickled in vinegar' to mind. If we'd not paid already, we would have left. The location is good, and the rooms are large, but they're tired and not well equipped. The spa was the upside, though some of the pool functions weren't working.

We had a great view from both the room and pool area, and dinner was delicious, compliments to the cook. Breakfast was served in the room. The hotel was nicely run by just a handful of staff. We came for the snow, but had to drive another 10 km to find it, and the road to the piste was closed so we couldn't drive there. The pool billiards table was incomplete, missing some balls and cue tips.

I was mostly satisfied during my six-night stay last year. The rooms are large, with comfortable beds and enormous bathrooms. You'll need a car because the hotel is far from the cities. The thing that really put me off was finding ants on the breakfast buffet. I was disgusted.

The pool at the spa is very good and extremely well priced. The Jacuzzis and other jets run on timers, though you get used to that. I've been here a couple of times before and wasn't that impressed, but today's visit was the best I've had. The staff were so helpful and kind, and went above and beyond to accommodate my Fibromyalgia symptoms, even though it's an invisible disease. Everything was very clean, disability friendly, and the Covid measures to keep people safe were extremely good. Good price, excellent therapy pool. I'll share pictures soon. Thanks to everyone working on site today, you helped me more than you'll ever know 🙏😘💯
