A Casa Branca - AL

We’d happily come back. It’s a peaceful place with welcoming facilities that make it easy to relax. Our room was spacious and spotless, with lovely decor and fresh, crisp bedding. The staff were thoughtful and attentive, and did a lot to make sure we were comfortable.

The games room was closed on our last visit because of COVID, so it was great to see it open this time. The gym was there too, though it wasn’t open while we stayed. We’d still love a laundry room for longer visits. The room was great, and the pool area is fantastic. Breakfast is huge, enough to do for lunch, and we made good use of the BBQ and pizza oven. There’s also a bar area with a big fridge, which came in handy since the rooms only have small fridges. We’ve been before and would definitely recommend it.

A Casa Branca-AL was a good stay overall, and for the quality it isn’t expensive, though it’s worth weighing up what you need from a visit. It’s only a few minutes from the motorway, the staff are great, and the rooms are spacious and well cleaned. The themed rooms feel different from a typical hotel, and there’s a lounge for hanging out. The large pool has a lovely mountain view; the place is clean and new, with a gym, pool table and other things. In the room, there’s a coffee machine, a nice bottle of wine, hot water and plenty more amenities. A few drawbacks: there isn’t much design for kids, many rooms don’t have a bathtub, and the power sockets are unprotected, so be careful. Wheelchair access isn’t clear. Rooms get cold in winter and seem to rely heavily on the AC. Parking is limited, and there’s no door separating the bathroom from the main room.
