Our sea view room was nice enough, with a small fridge and a TV, and the staff were very accommodating and kind. We arrived around noon, and they let us check in instead of making us wait until 4 pm. The hotel is pleasant but weather beaten. Each time we showered, the hose made the shower head point outside the stall and caused a small flood. The patio door to our room was broken and wouldn’t lock.

The hotel’s bright interior, neutral colors, and decorative details give it a calm, peaceful feel, and it’s comfortable and pleasing to look at. It isn’t right by the ocean, though we could still hear the waves. The swimming beach and town are both within a 10-minute walk. Having lived and traveled around the archipelago for seven years, I’d call this my best service experience yet. I stayed three nights at Hotel da Graciosa in early 2026, and everyone, from the front desk and restaurant teams to the cleaners, was professional, warm, and friendly. They went above and beyond to meet my needs. It’s now one of my favorite resorts in the Azores, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to relax on Graciosa with every convenience close at hand.

The attentive staff and varied buffet breakfast are real pluses, and this is probably the best accommodation option on the island. It suits different kinds of travelers. The villas stand out, with two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, and direct access to the pool, playground, and rest of the complex. There are also suites with a kitchen and living room. The price is a little above average, but what’s included justifies it. Some things are showing their age and need proper repairs instead of patches: an integrated fridge was replaced by a much smaller freestanding model that disrupts the kitchen layout, the outside access doors don’t lock, and some handles are loose.
