From the breakfast terrace you can even spot the castle. The hotel sits on a beautiful old street, right in the middle of town, and the staff were incredibly kind. It was clean and very pleasant. If you want to enjoy this small, charming town, this is the best place to stay. Highly recommended :)

I first came here three years ago for work meetings, when I needed to visit suppliers nearby, and I’ve kept coming back ever since. These days I often stay one day for meetings, then two more to work remotely at the hostel table and enjoy Carla's (the owner) hospitality and amazing food. The mix of hostel and suites sounded odd at first, but the place is high quality and lets you choose between adventure and privacy, whether you’re here with friends, family or business partners. It’s quiet, too.

I visited during the "pandemia" and the timing may not have been ideal, but I really enjoyed my stay. The place is very nice, and the general setup and cleanliness were great. What stood out most was the staff: naturally kind, understanding, and good at handling unusual situations. I’d checked a few other places around the town centre, and this one clearly stood apart. The employees felt honestly kind, not just "professionalised".

The food was delicious, with much better traditional Portuguese dishes than at any other tourist trap I tried. I stayed at the hostel and ate at the restaurant often, and the whole experience was spotless. The staff and service were incredibly friendly.

As a solo female pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago da Compostela, heading to Porto, I made the extra hike to santa Maria da Feira and stayed at Feira Hostel. It was the best decision I’ve made so far. The staff were top class, friendly, spoke other languages, remembered my name, and helped me connect with other pilgrims. The modern, fresh hostel was spotless and affordable. The dorm had comfortable beds, usb PowerPoints, and everything I needed, plus beautiful architectural showers, a dorm room bathroom and a kitchen like a 5* hotel. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Downstairs, the restaurant serves a fresh, filling lunch deal with fantastic ingredients, and the place is right in the heart of town with incredible views. I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s definitely better than staying in Sao João de Madeira, and I hope I’m lucky enough to come back.
