Pestana Quinta do Arco Nature & Rose Garden Hotel

The gardens and grounds are stunning, with peaceful paths, mountain views, running water, flowers, and greenery around the walk to the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, too. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and the setting felt relaxed and serene. Our room was stylish, spotlessly clean, and comfortable, with everything working as it should. The individual houses seemed new and were tastefully decorated, and the beds made for a wonderful night's sleep. We only stayed one night and wished it could've been longer. I'd happily come back.

I spent seven nights here in January, and the quiet was wonderful. From my bungalow at the far end of the property, I heard only the ocean and birds in the morning. It was spacious and comfortable, surrounded by a flower-filled garden. I had asked to move to a more secluded bungalow so I could meditate in the mornings, and the staff agreed without any trouble and respected what I needed. They were kind, helpful, and understanding throughout. The fireplace made the cool nights pleasant, with fresh firewood brought every day. Breakfast was generous and kept well stocked, and the room was cleaned daily. The Wi-Fi was excellent for working remotely. The ocean is about three minutes away by car, and the famous levadas are around 20 minutes away. A wonderful, unforgettable stay for anyone who values nature, peace, kindness, and hospitality. I truly recommend it.

A peaceful spot for resting and recharging, with a gorgeous garden and a beautiful rosarium. The views over the mountains and ocean are amazing, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, which makes it a pleasure to stay. The villas have charm, but some renovation is needed for a 4 stars hotel. There were no blackouts, the shower faucet was old and didn't work properly, the main door lock needs attention, and the bed could be more comfortable.

The room was spacious, the breakfast decent, and the views made it feel like being right in nature. But the smell inside was very strong and unpleasant. I'd seen other reviews mention it and didn't quite believe them until I experienced it myself. It was intrusive enough that I think the rooms need a deep clean. Still a very lovely place.
